The Penn State Alumni AssociationWhat’s been happening: I married Mary (Ciarrocca) Pendleton In 1977, raised 3 sons to achieve Eagle rank in scouting, see all 3 in who's who in high school kids. Two obtained engineering degrees and 1 a culinary degree. Now I get to see them work in their fields and do things they like. We have lived in the same home for 30 + years and have lots of great friends both near and far and enjoy seeing them. Occasionally I have been blessed to see a PSU game, the best was last season sitting in the end zone with the sun on you, then going to the OSU game and watching a victory. I have been in facilities management for over 30 years and currently have approximately 130 sites in 4 states that I get to watch over. My most challenging role was for 11 years to take a start up company to an international level with worldwide presence, and then see the company downsize and sell off. I also had a wonderful opportunity to assist in managing the USX Tower in Pittsburgh, PA. I get to enjoy seeing my dad all the time and watch his energy as he turns 94 soon. He travels over 100 miles a day 2 or 3 days a week to work on aircraft from World War II, as he is a certified A&P mechanic, and very rare, as not too many people are left who possess the knowledge or certification that he has on aircraft, or have seen the things in their life that he has experienced. |
